For the more adventurous traveler, hitting the beach is only the next best thing to rafting. In this case, you will enjoy a rafting adventure considering the fact that the country has tons of rivers. Turrialba and Sarapiqui River are two of the popular rafting areas in the country and there is another location called Toro River which is also pretty sick.

Here is where fishing is another great thing to try out. Aside from the sand and surf, you can also dive out when you are here. These activities are only the water related ones mind you.

In this part of Central America, bike routes reign supreme with courses passing through volcanoes and mountains. In this case, there are excellent routes that give you an amazing view of the Irazu Volcano. It is Lake Arenal which is also a popular route for bikers.

There are a lot of things that can be done in Costa Rica from shopping to seeing the sights. Here is where a week is simply not enough.
